Groundwork North Wales in partnership with the Princes’ Trust are recruiting for the Team Cymru Programme in the Wrexham area.

The programme will give young people aged 16-25 the chance to develop new skills, gain qualifications, build their confidence, and meet new people. Team Cymru’s aim is to assist the young people into employment, education, or training after the initial 12-week programme.

Throughout the programme participants will be involved in community projects and challenges that aim to increase theirs and the community’s engagement and involvement in the local environment. Boosting the young, people’s confidence, well-being, sense of community and their ability to engage in a meaningful way with the natural environments around them.

Young people participating will access a two-week work placement in a business or organisation, take part in an outward-bound trip and have the chance to plan and deliver their own group community project. Three in four people who complete a course with the Prince’s Trust go on to work, education or training.

Aaron Jones, Senior Youth Lead with Groundwork North Wales, said:

"We are excited to be delivering the Team Cymru programme in Wrexham and are on the lookout for young people to join our Team  Cymru programme. It is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved with and benefit from."

There is no cost to get involved with the Team Cymru Programme all you need to do is get in touch with Aaron - call or text 01978 757 524 / 07708 394 484 aaron.jones@groundworknorthwales.org.uk
