Groundwork North Wales have a new project starting in Flint called ‘We Care’. The project will develop and deliver local environmental improvements, transforming and improving green spaces for the community.
This will be achieved through working with the local community to regenerate areas by offering a range of training and volunteering opportunities relating to the natural environment. The new project We Care is funded through the Welsh Government Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being Grant.
The We Care Project is starting in Flint, will offer a range of training and volunteering programmes. Part of the project will include a 12-week Green Team programme, which will run 2 days a week and the programme will also offer community volunteer sessions.
The Green Team is open to individuals over 16 looking to gain or update skills and get support for re-entry into education or employment.
We Care will be holding a volunteer taster session on Friday 31st January 10am – 1pm at Refurbs on the Aber Park Industrial Estate, CH6 5EX for anyone interested in joining the Green Team training programme or general volunteering
