Wales Climate Week provides an annual opportunity to hold a national conversation on climate change.

The week explores the urgent action needed to reduce carbon emissions and create greater resilience to the impacts of climate change we are already experiencing across Wales.

Establishing sustainable lifestyles, protecting natural resources, and eliminating pollutants and excessive waste all form part of Groundwork North Wales’ environmental well-being projects, and is a message we’ve been promoting for over 30 years.

From the Our Back Yard project improving green spaces across Connah’s Quay, to the Minera Country Park project improving the biodiversity of Minera Country Park with support from the local community – we are dedicated to improving our green spaces.

Alongside this, our partner organisation Refurbs offer affordable, quality household appliances and furniture. Helping households with low incomes furnish their homes for less and stopping good quality items ending up in landfill.

Another partner organization, Wild Ground, works to engage, inspire, and enthuse local communities to act together to protect wildlife, and enhance habitats and eco-systems. The work undertaken at various sites not only supports the current ecological needs of the sites but enhances it.
