As Groundwork’s community learning and training offer grows and develops, we are seeking a motivated community learning tutor with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference.
The post holder will be expected to deliver across a variety of family learning, employability and essential skills related subject areas, as well as other accredited and non-accredited courses. This role will focus particularly on the delivery of our family learning and wellbeing (including cooking skills) offer in schools and community settings.
Job Title: Community Learning Tutor
Location: Groundwork North Wales Offices, based in Wrexham
Responsible to: Head of Training & Health & Safety
Number of hours per week: Full or Part Time – up to 37.5 hrs
Salary: £24,120 (pro-rata for part-time)
The tutor’s role will involve planning and delivering of a wide variety of community learning programmes for young people and adults, working across North Wales, to ensure a high level of engagement and delivery of accredited and non-accredited training and engagement sessions. Delivery of courses will be for our employability and adult community learning provision, targeted at those learners who are the hardest to reach, and also for external organisations, including public sector bodies, third sector organisations and our internal projects.
We are looking for flexible, experienced, and qualified tutor(s), full or part time, to deliver high quality training and engagement activities, across North Wales to support our family, learning, employability and adult community learning offer. Essentially you will hold a recognised teaching qualification as well as holding a full driving licence, and the relevant competencies to teach accredited qualifications and non-accredited learning.
