Refurbs Flint are thrilled to announce the launch of Meet and Eat project, with inspiring food demonstrations to help the community get the most out of their ingredients.

This project highlights how to create tasty and hearty meals using ingredients that might be hiding at the back of your cupboard. The sessions are designed to equip participants with practical tips to reduce food waste while saving money, all in a fun and engaging environment.

Scheduled Sessions

4th and 25th June

2nd and 30th July

3rd and 24th September

1st and 29th October

5th and 26th November

“We’re excited to be holding these sessions for the Flintshire community,” Katy, Café Manager at Refurbs Buckley, said. “Food waste continues to be an issue that impacts us all, and these sessions are a great way for the community to learn simple, practical steps to make their food go further while enjoying tasty meals.”

Sessions may include creative ways to cook with food, turning surplus fruit and vegetables into preserves, delicious recipes to make with leftovers, and understanding ‘best before’ and ‘use by’ dates.

As well as a food demonstration, each participant will receive a goody bag filled with ingredients to recreate the food demonstrated during the session, making it even easier to put the tips into practice at home.

All sessions are free and open to the public. Spaces are limited, so we encourage those wanting to attend to register their interest by emailing events@refurbs.org.uk
