New Adult Community Learning Digital Courses from Groundwork Training

Groundwork Training are pleased to announce new and refreshed Digital Courses in partnership with North East Wales Adult Community Learning, (ACL), starting in the new year.

Our new courses include:

  • IT Skills for Improvers Plus
  • Digital Skills for Work
  • Digital Skills for Life

 

IT Skills for Improvers Plus

Continuing from IT Skills for Improvers, this course will further develop the word processing skills already acquired as well as skills in spreadsheets, presentations, desktop publishing and using online platforms. The course is learner led, and content will be based on learners needs.

Digital Skills for Work

This course is designed for jobseekers with a focus on gaining digital skills for employment. This will include applying for jobs online, working with office programs, financial benefits when working (applying for universal credit), safety and security online, managing health online and using artificial intelligence.

Digital Skills for Life

Aimed at older people or those who have little to no experience using the web, with a focus on empowering to do more online. This will include safety and security, finding out information using search engines, using Government services and online forms (including applying for pension credit if applicable), using public and council services online, managing health and money online.

These courses are fully funded and free for those aged 19+ living in Wrexham and Flintshire, and will be delivered in an informal, friendly and learner-centred way.
