Family Fun for Autumn half term
Parents and carers looking for inspiration for things to do over this half term should look at the outdoor sessions and events from the teams at Groundwork North Wales and Wild Ground. On offer are autumn-themed activities, fun Halloween events, and environmental and nature-based activities.
Our Back Yard, a Groundwork North Wales project is excited to once again be running its nature club based at Wepre Park in Connah’s Quay. Quay Club takes place on Tuesday 1st November with a drop-in session between 11 am -3 pm and will have plenty of family-friendly, fun nature-related crafts and activities on offer, with a focus on using natural materials that you may find in your gardens and local green spaces.
Spooky Halloween activities and crafts are on offer at Minera Lead Mines Country Park with a drop-in session from 10 am to 3 pm on Monday 31st October.
Wild Ground the conservation charity is running half-term events at their Lane End and Glascoed nature reserves. On Wednesday 2nd November between 1 pm and 3 pm, there is a Crafts, Clay and Creatures event at Glascoed with a crafty session making clay creatures and exploring the nature reserve. On Thursday 3rd November we have 2 sessions at Lane End nature reserve with exciting Wild nature and craft sessions. The morning session is from 10 am to 12 pm and the afternoon from 1 pm to 3 pm. When booking the Lane End event please let the team know which session is required.
